"This book touched me deeply, following Kagan's journey as he battles his dragons and demons in the mental hell of his suffering. Misunderstood. Wrongly medicated, mistreated, one feels an intense compassion towards this soul whose beauty is deep but not often seen by passersby. His writing is glorious prose that keeps one turning the page. I couldn't put it down. It reminded me of when I read Sylvia Plath's book The Bell Jar, many decades ago, where I wondered who is sane and who is mad. That Kagan finds his way to the light and to love is uplifting and an inspiration for those on a similar path and those who have such souls in their life."
