Kagan Goh is a Vancouver-based multidisciplinary artist: award-winning filmmaker, published author, spoken word poet, playwright, actor, mental health advocate and activist. This feature marks the launching of #TheBrightArtists with an in-depth interview and two of Goh's amazing workpieces: "Nothing is Forged Without a Fire" and "Disability, This Ability".

 

We are honoured to have Goh as the first artist of #TheBrightArtists, a new initiative within the impact campaign of the documentary The World is Bright, which focuses on spotlighting artists of colour who are advocating for the awareness of mental health through their work. Goin beyond one film and one story,   #TheBrightArtists showcases these great talents whose powerful voices are shining and inspiring the world.
